Proverbs 26: 11 As a dog returns to his vomit, so a fool returns to his Folly. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. There really is a twofold message in this. First one is directed at those who want to return and wallow in their own sin. The second one is for those who know they should help others, have the ability to help others and yet, do nothing.
I am using in this first phase AOL Bible Fellowship chat room, simply because I am more familiar with this room. When I first started in this chat room it was called Christian Fellowship instead of Bible Fellowship. This was a time when a true believer could come and share each other’s burdens, help one another and yes pray for one another.
Then AOL changed the name to Bible Fellowship and for some strange reason it attracted unsavory characters. Now I am not talking about the unbeliever per say, I am talking about those who profess to be Christians and yet they seem to be attracted to foolish drama, fighting and arguing. I know this must be going on not only in this chat room but throughout our country. I started a group to try to regain a foothold of what used to be, but people claiming to be Christians did not come.
They stayed in the BF room some even parking there day and night using up valuable space for others. I can only surmise this is because they are trying to keep others out and mostly they do not want to miss the drama fearing there will be too many in the room for them to return.
Yet they claim to be Christian. I cannot say for sure because only God knows this, and they know whether they are really believers or not. Their actions say no. Of course there was a time in my life my actions said no too. I can only surmise from what I see or hear. All I know it is just like a dog that returns to his vomit. The dog cannot stand to be away for long he wants to return to eat it.
Some Christians or so called Christians are the same way. The bible calls them fools returning to their own folly. Now the second part of this. James 4:17 states if we know to do good and do not do it to us it is sin. We as a family have helped others when they needed the help but when it was our turn to get help we received very little help from thousands of facebook friends. Where is the Christian love? I see none in this. So I have come to the conclusion that either there are many on facebook claiming to be Christians who are not or they are sinning big time. We even had one person get mad because my wife posted a call for help.
I do not know if this person that got angry is claiming Christianity or not, but it causes one to wonder where there heart really is. Too many people claim to worship God but in reality are worshiping the dollar bill. When a professing Christian does not have a giving heart one has to wonder whether they are really a Believer or not. I cannot say for sure, but Gods word does say you shall know them by their fruits. Very few including organizations have a real giving heart. I have come to that conclusion. This is not for those who want to give but cannot. I understand that completely.
Are you really a believer? Is your heart right with God? Or are you like the fool that returns to his or her own folly, not having a giving heart? Did you realize if you can do good for others and you know it and you don’t you are sinning. Even if by some chance you are a believer unless you confess this sin as all sin you will still have to answer to God for this. I truly believe we will be taken care of, Jesus will provide our needs in spite of a world full of uncaring hateful people.
If we were able to we would help someone. I just wonder how many that calls themselves Christians can truthfully say they are. If you do not have a giving heart you better examine yourself very closely and ask God to either come into your heart, or forgive you and give you a giving heart. Someday soon you will have to answer for it.
Finally I chose the disgusting picture that goes with this on purpose. This is how God sees the Fool who returns to his or her own folly. This is how God sees the ungiving heart the one that worships the so called mighty dollar.
