Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26
I know there are many people in this world that call themselves Christian. What does Christian mean? It means to be Christ like. Not saved or born again but to be Christ Like.
When someone is in help and we are able to help, do we? Or do we hem and haw and say sure we do? But the bottom line is we have no intentions of helping the needy.
Instead we are too caught up being politically correct, and we criticize and judge and condemn others. We, and I include myself, are more prone to verbally attack the down trodden, scorn and abuse those in need or less fortunate than we are.
Instead of praying for them whether or not we are able to help, we judge them and make fun of them and even some abuse them. Then we go to church and talk all Godly and sit high and mighty in our church.
Or we target our aggression against our President and the police force whine and complain about them, instead of praying for them. We do not go to church either. Our excuse is everyone in the church is a bunch of hypocrites.
It is true that many that attend church are hypocrites but Jesus loves them as much as He loves us. So instead of using this or any excuse to not attend church, how about the truth? We choose on our own not to attend. Excuses are useless. Yes I am not at church every time the door is open but that is my choice and my fault. I even tried another church but God had me to keep attending the church I belong too. After all we true believers are members of the only true church in Jesus Christ. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ.
We walk by faith not by site. I encourage all of us to read the word not to just go by sayings from others. Such as the bible says so. The question is where in the bible does it say? If we cannot find it in scripture than it is most likely not true.
God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must Worship Him in Spirit and Truth. Instead of praying give me this and that. Why not pray, what would You, LORD, have me do for You?
After all Jesus did it all for us on the cross. He who knew no sin, Became sin for you and I. Let us walk in the Light of Jesus. We all say we do. We all TALK THE TALK BUT DO WE WALK THE WALK?
